Nuclear Power Plants

Nuclear Power

People cannot make up their minds if either to be against or for nuclear power plants. There are more cons than pros. It's great that we don't kill or get radiation with nuclear plans, unless the nuclear power is destroyed. Therefore I'm against nuclear power plants. Do we really need them?

Nuclear power plants are very expensive and if the radiation gets out, we can get any type of diseases, for example one of the most known "Cancer". if nuclear plants are destroyed, the radiation goes everywhere and also the waste can get in food and water. Wastes from the plants take as long as 500-700 thousand years to completely disappear. Why would we want wastes that last long and affect the future of our kids?

One of million reasons why there shouldn't be any nuclear power is the cost to construct it. One nuclear power plant can go up to $50 million or even more! Some people don't even want it. Then why even build and spend so much money on a nuclear plant when we can use it in different things, such as schools, hospitals, new buildings for kids, or improve things that have to be fixed or make things better, useful things.

Fukushima was one of the biggest disasters that has happen in the entire world! The radiation went everywhere and also it got in the water. That water now has radiation. That same water has came to Los Angeles. Fukushima's disaster was the biggest, worse, and unique disaster. This is why some people really don't want it since Fukushima happen. Japan was in a disaster and had to rebuild buildings and also can't go into the water where the radiation has gone to.

I have gave you 3 out of thousand reasons why nuclear power is bad. Out of all those thousands reasons, those 3 reasons caught my eye. Wastes that last up to 500-700 thousand years, radiation that can kill us and give us cancer, and Fukushima's disaster. There can be another disaster like Fukushima's or even worse. We live in the the most biggest faults in the U.S. We are on top of the San Fransisco Fault line. If we had one nuclear power plant and a terrible earthquake.. only God knows what would happen. We wouldn't end well and we would be having wastes everywhere and also lost lives and money, lots of money.. That's for sure.
